Francis Ferguson

A life-long collector (except those years in my 20's and 30's for obvious reasons) the fascination of those colorful pieces of history has been all consuming. My collecting interests center on Classic US, Prexie EFO, Edison (645-656), and Transport Series material.

I have made Central Florida my home for over 35 years. I came to Orlando to attend FTU, which later became UCF, and graduated in 1982 after spending 5 years in a 4 year program -- with a degree in Business Administration: Management and a minor in Computer Science. I have been employed in the IT field for nearly my whole career. Currently I call Apopka home, where I enjoy the company of my life-partner and our four cats (who tolerate us).

Besides being responsible for this site, additional organization affiliations include the Florida Stamp Dealers’ Association (President 2012/2014 and Treasurer 2004/2012), and The Central Florida Stamp Club (President 2008/2012 and VP-Operations 2012/2014). In addition, I also hold membership in the APS, USSS, FPHS and GLHSC.

The re-born Fireman of Philately group, granted myself membership #18.

Finally, I serve as the General Chairman of the annual three day FLOREX event held in the Central Florida area in early December with up to 50 dealers represented and as the Show Manager for the smaller SUNPEX show held in the mid June with 16-18 dealers. I also handle two small local shows with up to 6-15 dealers, held in the middle of April and late September of each year.
